Hey Everyone,

 

Were in June already - Summer is almost here! The Workout Warehouse
members worked hard all winter long and now is the time to fit in those
clothes that you couldn't fit into last summer! 

The 4 week Team Challenge weight program was a success! Everybody
lost weight - The Warehouse lost over 750 pounds -
That number does not include inches or Body Fat! 
"The Beer Belly Busters Team" came in first place, close behind was
 "Thin it 2 win it Team" and coming in 3rd place was Team JLT!
The Individual winner was Stephanie Gross she lost 23.6 of unwanted lbs!
Jamie Gardner lost over 19lbs and Lisa Jasina lost over 15lbs -the list goes on.
 Way to work members!
The best part is everyone walked away with something - thinner (YEH!) more
knowledge on how to eat healthier, NEW SOCKS (lol) or what classes they
like or dislike and for us it was the WOW members meeting other WOW members!
The highlight of the challenge was seeing the teams run the 3 miles together-

It was 3.2 miles by the way!

Congratulations  everyone it has been a pleasure to see all the changes in you.

Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone is doing well and getting ready for the warm weather!

The Warehouse has been a exciting place to be around, seems everyone is shaping up & looking good.

As many of you know we have a Team Challenge going on at the Workout Warehouse so of course its been very busy..busy with old members and new members AND it doesn't matter because EVERY ONE is working harder then ever!

Before we go into my monthly speech..i want to let everyone know the Warehouse has lost 215 lbs of FAT in one week! As JoAnn would say "O YEA" and I say

"Keep bringing it Challengers"!

I would like to talk about being selfish... I'm selfish and you need to be too! I'm sorry did i offend anyone? Oh not yet well then I probably will.. When I say this I mean..well i guess i mean yes its time to be selfish, we spend so much time doing things for others that we forget to put OURSELVES first. My workouts pretty much come first (in my daily routine) if that means getting up 2 hours earlier then my household then that's what I do and really that is what i do..my day starts every morning at 5AM -put my breakfast together do a load of laundry - prepare our lunch or anything that the "family" needs when they wake up and hit the gym at 7AM - 5 days a week. When WOW members see me at 8:30 AM I already did my cardio and put in a few reps. Talk about being selfish huh? I could stay home in the morning and wait for everyone to wake up and then wait on everyone hand & foot go straight to my 9AM class and complain that I don't have time to workout. But no I'm selfish and the "Family" is use to it. Everyone needs to find that time for themselves - if you do not let your household know how important it is for you to spend an hour on yourself at the gym then plan on staying twice as long in the gym in the future. As for me I found my balance and only because I made it happen and I call it being a little bit "selfish".

AH OH NEW CHALLENGE!! Here is the CHALLENGE of the week! (key word: CHALLENGE)
Team Running

Gather your team mates and go for a run together  your team has to leave from the warehouse during warehouse hours (so you can be seen and sign in). Your team has to head NORTH for 3 MILES (or more, no less)

Your mile marker is the KAYAK PLACE.

In less you have a injury, you are to run (slow pace is fine)

Can't run yet? - walk run walk run

This Challenge is worth a point & a prize!

Girls Who Are Naturally Skinny are thought to be lucky, yet I find that those of us who have to work for it are a lot stronger in more ways than one. We have to fight for our figures and that makes us stronger in other areas of our life .... work...health...eating...relationships...school...etc. Now, don't get me wrong naturally skinny girls workout too, but just at a different level.

If you notice May turns into a regular schedule - what i mean is that we have no camps, no different classes BUT we do have all the favorites to keep you strong and fit. I will be leaving for a week in the beginning of the month and another week towards the end of the month. JoAnn takes her 2 week vacation..so with that being said your left with a normal but great schedule.. we will start the STRONG IS THE NEW SKINNY very soon...

GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE WOW MEMBERS RUNNING  A MARATHON THIS MONTH,  ANITA, ANGIE,HELEN,CAROL & KEVIN! WHO ARE ALL 40 or OVER SO AGAIN NO EXCUSES! BOOM!

Workout Warehouse Challenge

NEED TO LOSE THOSE EXTRA POUNDS!

WOW is having a Team Challenge

Teams are made up of THREE members. It is a 4 week challenge. Its real simple - eat right, work hard and don't let your team down!

We will weigh in 3x in the 4 week challenge. April 16th, April 30th and the last one May 14th.  Every pound, body fat % and inch you lose gets you a point! The team with the most points wins - one person out of all the teams will also be a winner. You have 2 chances to be a winner!

The cost is $40

The workout warehouse has 2 Bootcamps lined up for you (not mandatory)

April 22nd & May 6th

9 am - 11 am

Less clothing? Darn it we knew this time of year was coming (well the nice weather did come a little earlier then usual)

Are we physically ready for this warm weather?

I would like to say most of the WOW members are ready, we've been weight training hard, doing cardio daily and taking on different classes!

We had a great turnout for the Corktown run and quite a few of the members did the CF run on Grosse Ile! I'm hoping we can get a few more runs in before the biggie "BAYSHORE" Traverse City Marathon and the "Detroit" Free Press Marathon!

Weight training and Cardio talk makes me want to touch on another subject  "EATING CLEAN" or we  can call it what most people like to throw around "DIET". The other day JoAnn & I ran into someone at the gym and the someone was drinking a "protein drink" JoAnn and I looked at each other because we knew this so call "protein drink" has so much sugar in it and I thought to myself let me go inform her about the contents of this drink, so I tell her what we thought about that certain drink and she TOLD me " I'm going to work it off right now" and I said (because i have no filter between my brain and mouth) "so one step forward and two steps back"  I'm sure i could have sugar coated what I said but after 37 years I never have so why start now (ok 40) I couldn't believe she said that and I'm sure she didn't appreciate what i said so my point is to YOU ALL "DO NOT chase your tail around the gym" ( like a circle - get it?)  you work hard in the classes don't waste your time by going forward then heading backwards!

Eat right - feel good - look great - hey I'm not saying live to workout - but don't WORKOUT TO EAT! - cheating  here and there or on a weekend night is fine but cheating everyday is like putting water in your gas tank  IT GETS YOU NO WHERE!

You have to fuel your body if you want to see results, stay healthy and look your best!

CHANGE - CHANGE - CHANGE- CHANGE- CHANGE

Change your eating habits - change your workouts

Earn your cheats - earn your showers - earn that sweat!
